Bio

My first sketchbook came into my hands when I was just 8 or 9, followed by my first camera at 10. By my teenage years, I had my photographs displayed in a local gallery – a small but thrilling milestone. Since then, I’ve filled more than 40 notebooks, each brimming with sketches, paintings, drawings, stories, and notes, all created as I wandered the world.

Along the way, I explored travel photography, dabbled in AI art, and even experimented with AI poetry. Meanwhile, I earned a PhD in Big Data and spent over a decade as a consultant, balancing two worlds. In 2008, I gave my creative work a name – Oxoffo. By 2015, I had designed its symbol, known as John Kidly’s tree or simply Oxoffo. It has since become my signature mark.

Until 2021 my artwork remained hidden away in notebooks or tucked into drawers. I would steal moments to create, sketching on planes, painting in hotel rooms, or setting up makeshift studios in my parents’ basement or on the staircase outside my flat. In 2022, everything shifted – I finally got my first proper artist studio in Kingston upon Thames. And in 2024, I stepped fully into my identity as an artist, sharing my work with the world.
